Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, has expressed strong confidence in winning the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking on Saturday at the inauguration of the NNPP Secretariat along IBB Way, Katsina, Kwankwaso declared the party’s readiness to take control of the presidency, governorship, and other positions nationwide in 2027.
During his visit to Katsina, which included a condolence call to the Yar’Adua family following the passing of their matriarch, Hajiya Dada, the former Kano State Governor stated that the NNPP was on track for success in the 2027 elections.
“I wish to remind you that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is already dead, because we were in the party, since they have gone out of the line, we decided to check out,” he stated.
Rabiu Kwankwaso, leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement, urged Nigerians, especially women and youths, not to be swayed by money or food handouts like spaghetti during future elections. He also called on party leaders to strengthen their efforts to ensure the NNPP’s success both at the state and national levels.
Kwankwaso praised party members and stakeholders for renovating the state secretariat, describing it as part of their preparations for future victories.
NNPP State Chairman, Alhaji Armaya’u Abdulkadir, added that the party is working hard to educate voters about the new party logo, which represents education for all—an issue central to Kwankwaso’s agenda.
He said, ”There is the need for the party to embark on grassroots sensitisation to inform the members on the importance of the new logo.”
