Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of falsely alleging that he made monetary demands.
In a Channels Television interview on Friday, Wike denied these accusations and criticized Fubara for abandoning his supporters. Wike, the former governor of Rivers State, had endorsed Fubara in the 2023 governorship election, but their relationship has since deteriorated into mutual accusations.
“They say I’m asking for N20 billion, N100 billion, he spreads lies against me,” Wike said.
“I brought you up, I put you here. Fubara abandoned those who laboured for him.”
