The Department of State Services (DSS) has reportedly arrested prominent activist and politician Omoyele Sowore.
Sowore was allegedly detained upon his return to Nigeria.
His arrest was confirmed on Sunday by fellow activist Deji Adeyanju.
Adeyanju said, “SOWORE was arrested by the jobless and lawless Nigerian government for calling for an End to Bad Governance protest,” he said.
Also, Saharareporters reported: “NewsFlash: DSS Arrests Sowore Upon Arrival To Nigeria After Order By New DSS Boss.”
Sowore previously disclosed that Nigerian security forces were attempting to locate him in his hometown in Ondo State.
The former presidential candidate alleged that security agencies were plotting to falsely accuse him of various offences.
He made this revelation on his verified Facebook page on Saturday.
