Former President Donald Trump has pledged to halt all migrant flights and entries if he secures victory in the 2024 presidential election.
In a statement posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account, Trump declared that one of his initial actions would be the mass deportation of all migrants residing in the U.S. back to their countries of origin.
He vowed to end what he termed the “migrant invasion of America.”
Trump, the Republican candidate, laid out plans to address migration, including stopping migrant flights, curbing illegal entries, and scrapping the CBP One App, which he claimed facilitates illegal smuggling. Additionally, he promised to revoke deportation immunity, halt refugee resettlements, and enforce mass deportations in what he referred to as “remigration.”
He wrote: “As President I will immediately end the migrant invasion of America. We will stop all migrant flights, end all illegal entries, terminate the Kamala phone app for smuggling illegals (CBP One App), revoke deportation immunity, suspend refugee resettlement, and return Kamala’s illegal migrants to their home countries (also known as remigration).
“I will save our cities and towns in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and all across America. #MAGA2024!”
Trump recently claimed that thousands of immigrants have resorted to eating people’s pets to survive in the U.S.
He made this statement during a debate with his primary challenger, current Vice President Kamala Harris, ahead of the upcoming presidential election in November.
According to Trump, the U.S. border’s porous condition has allowed unregulated migration from around the world, leading some to allegedly eat domestic animals such as dogs and cats out of desperation.
He said, “They are eating the dogs, the people that came in (immigrants), they are eating the cats. They are eating the pets of the people that live there and this is what is happening in our country. I would say we would both leave this debate right now.”
The former president added that the only way to stop the situation is for the US government under the leadership of Joe Biden to order the immediate closure of the country’s borders.
He said, “I would like to see her go down to Washington, D.C. and let us sign a bill to close the border because they (the government) have the right to do it. They don’t need bills.”
