The Honourable Commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the board of DESOPADEC, Hon. Spencer Okpoye, has extended his congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Mobene III, the Pere, Amaokosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom on the occasion of his 9th coronation anniversary.
Okpoye praised the monarch as “a man of peace, a bridge-builder, and of unassailable integrity,” noting that his reign has brought immense value to the kingdom, the ijaw people, and Delta State.
He further lauded the royal father for his steadfast support of the state government and the DESOPADEC, as well as for his efforts in rallying his people towards national causes.
He said, “I join the people of Warri Kingdom in celebrating a great monarch and wishing him good health, wisdom and strength as he continues with the responsibility of leading his people traditionally and culturally.
“In the last 9 years on the throne, His Royal Majesty, Mobene III, has provided impactful leadership by living above board as a father and leader. He has been the rallying point and inspiration for the Ogbe-ijoh people in particular and Ijaws in general.
“I must commend your dexterity in keeping and managing the culture and tradition of the Ogbe-Ijoh and entire Ijaw people by promoting harmony, socio-cultural cooperation, communal living and peaceful co-existence among the Ijaw and other ethnic groups in the state,” the Commissioner added, stressing that the monarch remains a symbol of unity and graceful demonstration of traditional dignity in the affairs of the state.
