Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, the administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), recently visited HRM Felix Mujakperuo, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, in his palace in Delta State on Tuesday, as part of his ongoing efforts to engage stakeholders for peace and security in the Niger Delta.
During the visit, Otuaro briefed the monarch on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to regional reforms and development, stressing the critical role of traditional institutions in sustaining peace and security.
Otuaro also highlighted the achievements of his administration in recent months, particularly in promoting peace and development in the Niger Delta.
In response, the Orodje of Okpe expressed gratitude for Otuaro’s recognition of traditional institutions and encouraged him to continue his innovative leadership for the region’s peace and progress.
Otuaro reaffirmed President Tinubu’s dedication to maintaining the current peace and security in the Niger Delta, stressing that stability is not being taken for granted.
The meeting underscored the importance of traditional institutions in fostering sustainable peace in the region, reflecting Otuaro’s proactive stakeholder engagement in alignment with President Tinubu’s vision for the Niger Delta’s development.
