BMSSPOBA Class Of 2004 Marks 20th Anniversary With Million-Naira Donations

The Boys Model Secondary School Patani Old Boys Association (BMSSPOBA), Class of 2004, joyfully marked their 20th Graduation Anniversary and homecoming on Wednesday, 25th September 2024, at their alma mater in Patani, Delta State.

The event was a heartwarming blend of nostalgia and generosity, reflecting the enduring loyalty of these distinguished alumni to one of Delta State’s most renowned Model Secondary schools.

In a remarkable display of gratitude, the Class of 2004 donated two complete grass-cutting machine kits valued at over a million naira. Each kit included essential items such as brush cutters, trimmer lines, helmets, rain boots, and other necessary tools to enhance the school’s upkeep.

Their contributions were not limited to infrastructure, as they also recognized and rewarded academic and personal excellence with cash prizes for outstanding students, the neatest student, and deserving teachers.

Mrs. Joyce Kenerekedi, the school’s Principal, expressed deep gratitude to the Class of 2004 for their transformative impact, particularly praising Mr. Wilson Goru, President of BMSSPOBA Worldwide, for his ongoing support. She also noted the need for further assistance in areas like security, fencing, additional staff, and library upgrades.

The Old Boys paid a courtesy visit to HRM Barr. Peremobowei Shadrack Erebulu Aduo III, the Pere of Kabowei Kingdom and an esteemed BMSSPOBA member, who commended their efforts and encouraged other alumni to follow their example.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment to the school’s future, leaving a lasting legacy of support and optimism.
