Chief Ebikeme Clark, Honourable Commissioner for Riverine Infrastructural Development in Delta State, has hailed Governor H.E. Rt. Hon. Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori for his relentless commitment to improving the lives of riverine communities in the state.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with WAFFI TV, Chief Clark praised the governor for keeping his promises, stressing that the focus on riverine development highlights the administration’s deep concern for the well-being of all Deltans, especially those in hard-to-reach areas.
During a recent visit to the riverine communities, Governor Oborevwori made significant strides in fulfilling his pledge to uplift these areas. He commissioned the ultra-modern Model Secondary School in Ogulagha community, Burutu Local Government Area, a project funded by DESOPADEC. This state-of-the-art facility is set to provide world-class education to the youths of the area, ensuring they have access to the same opportunities as their peers in urban centers.
The governor’s efforts didn’t stop there. He also inaugurated lecture halls and office buildings at the Nigeria Maritime University in Okerenkoko, Warri South-West Local Government Area. These projects, built by the Delta State Government, are part of a broader initiative to support the university and enhance education in the riverine region. Chief Clark underscored the importance of these interventions, noting that they are a clear demonstration of the governor’s commitment to fostering education and infrastructure development, even in the most remote communities.
In his remarks, Chief Clark extended heartfelt gratitude to the people of Ogulagha and Okerenkoko for their overwhelming welcome of the governor during his visit, noting that their support is crucial in the drive towards sustainable development. He also reassured the communities that the governor has given his ministry the full backing to execute its mandate, ensuring that all promised projects are delivered promptly and efficiently.
