The Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Youth Council has strongly refuted claims made by a group calling for the removal of Chief Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro, the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. The group, self-identified as the Ogbe-Ijoh Interest and Defensive Forum, had linked Dr. Otuaro to the leak of a confidential DSS document, a claim the Youth Council vehemently denies.
In a press release signed by President Amb. Ekpoperemene Victor Akemotubo and Secretary Comr. Randy E. Ayeotu, on Tuesday, the Youth Council disassociated itself from the forum, stating that it is not recognized by the Ogbe-Ijoh people. The council also emphasised their full support for Dr. Otuaro’s leadership and his contributions to peacebuilding and development in the Niger Delta region.
The Youth Council issued a seven-day ultimatum to Comrade Stanley Ebilabor, demanding he retract the press release or face disciplinary action. They reiterated their confidence in Dr. Otuaro and urged President Bola Tinubu to disregard calls for his removal, stressing Otuaro’s value to both the Ijaw Nation and the Niger Delta.

OGBE-IJOH DENY CALL ON BOLA TINUBU TO REMOVE AMNESTY ADMINISTRATOR OVER LEAKAGE OF CONFIDENTIAL DSS DOCUMENTS
The attention of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Youth Council has been drawn to a publication by a group which called itself Ogbe-Ijoh Interest and Defensive Forum calling for the removal of the Amnesty Coordinator (Chief Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro) over the leakage of a confidential DSS Amnesty Documents which has gone viral on social media. It will surface us to note that the said documents which Dr Dennis Burutu Otuaro was being labelled against was first uploaded by the same
Dr. Victor Ben Ebiakabowei some time ago.
We wish to state that the self styled Ogbe-Ijoh Interest and Defence Forum is neither known to the Ogbe-Ijoh people nor made the call on behalf of the Ogbe-Ijoh Kingdom. We completely disassociate ourselves from the call for the removal of Dr. Otuaro and expressed our total support to his leadership of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
As a Council, we have resolved that .
- Comrade Stanley Ebilabor should as a matter of fact refute the press release that he did within seven days (7) from today or appropriate disciplinary steps would be taken against him.
- We also want to let you know that Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom has organs that are authorised to make publication on behalf of the Kingdom, hence we call on security agence to watch as things unfold.
- Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Youth Council is solidly behind Chief Dr Dennis Otuaro as he is doing a lot towards peace building and human capacity development in the Niger Delta region and Nigeria at large.
- The Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Youth Council hereby passed a vote of confidence on Chief Dr Dennis Otuaro as the Coordinator to the Amnesty program.
The Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Youth Council had particularly appealed to Dr. Dennis Otuaro not to be distracted by his destractors, adding that the Ijaw Nation is fully with him as he continues to do his part in the Development of Niger Delta and Ijaw nation at large.
Otuaro is truly an asset to Ijaw Nation hence we called on President Bola Tinubu to ignore those calling for the removal of the Amnesty Coordinator in driving your renewed hope agenda in Nigeria and Niger Delta at large.
