The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) announced on Thursday that it has reached a crude oil production level of 1.8 million barrels per day.
NNPCL stated it is on track to meet President Bola Tinubu’s target of two million barrels per day by December 2024.
The company also reported an increase in gas production, now reaching 7.4 million standard cubic feet (mmscf), primarily to support the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano gas infrastructure—up from 6.1 mmscf earlier this year.
NNPCL emphasised that this progress aligns with government budget goals and is a result of dedicated efforts across its teams in recent weeks.
