Sokebolou & Yokiri Federated Communities have announced the highly anticipated Amanimi-Warènimi Ogeh Festival 2024, set to take place from December 29th to 31st, 2024, in Sokebolou Town, Ogulagha Kingdom, Burutu LGA, Delta State.
According to Comrade Dein Ibilou, Chairman of the publicity sub-committee, the event promises an array of exciting competitions and traditional displays, including football tournaments, canoeing, wrestling, tug of war, swimming, and an eating contest. Prizes will be awarded in all categories.
The festival will be graced by top performers and artists throughout the three-day event:
Day 1: Barrister S. Smooth, Bayelsa Art & Culture Troupe, Egbelegbele Dance Troupe from Ammasomma, and FC Storyteller
Day 2: Beach Party with Chief Kingsley Takemebo, Bayelsa Art & Culture Troupe, Egbelegbele Dance Troupe, and FC Storyteller
Day 3 (Grand Finale): King Jfred Ezonebi, Bayelsa Art & Culture Troupe, Egbelegbele Dance Troupe, and more traditional dance performances
Notable dignitaries for the event include H.R.M. Elder Capt. King Joseph I. Timiayan, PhD, Torububou 1. Agbonu, Ibenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom, who will serve as the Royal Father of the Day, and Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, who will be the Chairman of the Day.
