The Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has announced that petrol will be sold at N1,030 per litre from the Port Harcourt refinery, confirming its operational status as declared by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
In a statement issued Thursday night, PETROAN spokesperson Joseph Obele revealed that the NNPCL had communicated this pricing for premium motor spirit at the newly refurbished refinery.
Obele stated, “NNPC Retail Ltd has officially announced the PMS price at the Port Harcourt refinery as N1,030 per litre.
“It was also communicated to PETROAN that the product request portal was open for booking/request.”
He noted that PETROAN’s strategic pricing team is evaluating the most competitive pricing options for its members, stating, “We are open to patronizing all refineries in Nigeria.”
The association also appealed to NNPCL to implement further price reductions to facilitate a joyful Yuletide celebration for Nigerians.
This update comes after weeks of speculation about petrol pricing at the refinery.
It is worth noting that the Port Harcourt Refinery began operations and the distribution of petroleum products on Tuesday.
