Dangote Refinery has announced that its premium motor spirit (petrol) will be available at N935 per litre through MRS retail outlets nationwide.
In a statement, the company praised President Bola Tinubu for enabling the crude-for-naira exchange deal.
The refinery explained that this initiative is designed to ease the burden on Nigerians. Starting Monday, 23 December 2024, petrol will be sold at N935 per litre.
“To provide succour to Nigerians, Dangote recently reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N970 to N899.50 at its refinery loading gantry and provided generous credit terms to marketers.
“To ensure that this price reduction gets to the end consumer, we have signed a partnership with MRS to sell petrol from its retail outlets nationwide at N935 per litre.
“This price has already commenced in Lagos, and it will be offered nationwide from Monday.”
This comes as the President of Dangote Refinery, Aliko Dangote, urged the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited retail outlets and marketers to ensure Nigerians have quality petrol.
“He called on other oil marketers, such as the NNPC Retail and all other marketers, “to work with us to ensure that Nigerians enjoy high-quality petrol at discounted prices”, the statement reads.
It is worth noting that Dangote Refinery recently reduced the ex-depot price of petrol from N970 to N899.50 per litre.
