The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has urged Nigerians to renew their commitment to combating economic and financial crimes.
Delivering a New Year message in Abuja yesterday, Olukoyede highlighted the vital role of public support in advancing anti-corruption efforts, emphasizing that rejecting corruption is key to economic growth and improving citizens’ quality of life.
He called on the nation to embrace the opportunities of the new year by recommitting to values of transparency, accountability, and integrity.
Olukoyede assured that the EFCC is prepared to surpass its 2024 achievements, with its officers resolute in dismantling corruption nationwide. He described the agency’s mission as a patriotic duty and pledged unwavering dedication to fighting corruption in 2025.
Reaffirming the EFCC’s commitment to national progress, Olukoyede stated: “The progress and development we desire for our nation depend on our collective support for anti-corruption initiatives.”
He said: “The new year is offering us fresh opportunities to recommit ourselves to the ideals of transparency, accountability, and probity.
“2025 will be another year of bringing towers of corruption down. Our focus is set and our commitment is total.
“Our work is more than a vocation but a patriotic calling. We know this and will always offer our best to move the nation forward.”
