Naira Depreciates Against Dollar For Third Consecutive Day

The naira depreciated for the third consecutive session against the dollar in 2025.

According to FMDQ data, the naira weakened to N1,541.70 per dollar on Wednesday, down from N1,537.03 on Tuesday, reflecting a drop of N4.67 in the official market.

Conversely, the black market saw the naira strengthen by N5, closing at N1,660 on Wednesday compared to N1,665 on Tuesday.

Waffi TV notes that the naira has been depreciating at the official market since Monday, while maintaining stability in the parallel market at N1,665 per dollar—until today.
