The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has reaffirmed his commitment to creating a conducive working environment for lawmakers and staff of the State Legislature.
Rt Hon Guwor made this known on Thursday during an inspection of ongoing rehabilitation work at the Assembly’s administrative building located at the State Assembly Complex, Okpanam Road, Asaba.
Accompanied by the Clerk of the House, Mr. Otto Aghoghophia, some management staff, and labor union leaders, Guwor expressed satisfaction that the long-standing issue of the facility’s central cooling system had been resolved.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, after the inspection, the Speaker emphasized that the rehabilitation project goes beyond physical upgrades. He highlighted the importance of creating a comfortable working environment that promotes productivity, teamwork, and efficient governance.
“As we work towards the growth of Delta State, it is vital that our infrastructure aligns with our development goals. This rehabilitation is a positive step, and I am eager to see its impact on our operations,” Guwor remarked.
He commended the staff for their patience and encouraged them to remain committed to enhancing productivity.
Staff members at the facility expressed their gratitude to the Speaker for addressing their concerns about the non-functional cooling system. They lauded his leadership and dedication to improving the Assembly’s infrastructure.
