The naira strengthened against the dollar at the official forex market for the first time this week.
According to FMDQ data, the naira appreciated by N0.47, trading at N1,541.23 per dollar on Thursday, compared to N1,541.70 on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the naira held steady at N1,660 per dollar on the parallel market, maintaining the same rate as the previous day.
This development follows the CBN’s announcement on Thursday of an immediate suspension of approvals for extending the repatriation of export proceeds.
