The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adeniyi, announced on Tuesday in Abuja that the service generated ₦6.1 trillion in revenue in 2024, marking a 90.4% increase from the ₦3.2 trillion collected in 2023.
Adeniyi revealed that the NCS exceeded its 2024 revenue target of ₦5.07 trillion by 22%. He also highlighted October as the peak month, with ₦603 billion collected, the highest revenue for the year.
“Unprecedented performance in 2024, the service recorded N6.105.315 trillion. This is above the N5.07 trillion 2024 revenue target by 22 percent, “he stated.
