Dangote Refinery Raises Petrol Price To N955/Litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has raised the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), or petrol, due to the surge in global crude oil prices.

In a statement issued on Friday, the refinery revealed that the new bulk purchase price for customers buying between 2 million and 4.99 million litres is now N955 per litre. Those purchasing 5 million litres or more will pay N950 per litre.

This price adjustment, which reflects a 6.17% increase, represents an extra N55.5 per litre compared to the N899.50 per litre discounted rate offered during the December 2024 holiday period. The updated pricing will take effect at 5:30 PM today, impacting both unsold stock and pending orders.

The refinery explained the price hike in a notice titled “Communication on PMS Price Review,” attributing the rise to the ongoing increase in global oil prices.
