Over 460 illegal immigrants, including individuals with criminal records for offenses such as sexual assault, domestic violence, drug-related crimes, and weapons violations, have been apprehended in the United States.
According to Fox News, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) carried out the arrests in the early days of President Donald Trump’s administration.
Reports indicate that between midnight on January 21 and 9 a.m. on January 22—within a span of 33 hours—ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested more than 460 individuals. Among them were offenders with histories of sexual assault, robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, drug and weapons charges, resisting arrest, and domestic violence.
The arrested individuals came from various countries, including Afghanistan, Angola, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Senegal, and Venezuela.
The arrests were made across multiple U.S. states, including Illinois, Utah, California, Minnesota, New York, Florida, and Maryland.
