Rooney Sacked As Birmingham City Boss

Wayne Rooney, the former Manchester United star, has been removed from his position as Birmingham City manager following a disappointing series of 15 matches, as reported by the Daily Mail UK.

Initially appointed as Blues’ boss in October, Rooney struggled to secure victories, managing only two wins during his tenure. His termination followed a 3-0 defeat against Leeds on Monday, marking his ninth loss while leading the team, resulting in their 20th place position in the Championship standings.

Despite Rooney’s determination to persevere after the Leeds match, club staff were gathered for a meeting at the training ground on Tuesday, where they were informed about his dismissal.

Previously, the 38-year-old ex-England international had managerial stints at Derby County and MLS side DC United.
