WaffiTV:The ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) may also soon be put to an end.
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, gave the hint in Onitsha, Anambra State, whilst talking to reporters.
Ngige revealed that budget have been provided to satisfy most of the needs of the union.
He stated the Federal authorities might make important efforts to ensure that the strike comes to an end this January.
In line with Ngige, the troubles that made ASUU to embark on strike were based on agreement which the union entered into with the management of former President Goodluck Jonathan, which the administration failed to enforce before President Muhammadu Buhari took over office.
In keeping with the minister, the Buhari management is labour-friendly and is always worried about the welfare of the country’s personnel.
