WaffiTV:Somewhere around 72 individuals have died and a few others fallen sick from drinking illegally-brewed liquor containing toxic methanol in a few towns in the northern India, authorities said.
Somewhere around 64 deaths were reported on Saturday from Saharanpur and Haridwar – bordering areas of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand states separately – in the wake of drinking the poisonous liquor.
Eight additional deaths were reported in another disaster accused on spoiled liquor in Kushinagar region, likewise in Uttar Pradesh, provincial authority BD Gupta told the dpa news organization.
Most of the deaths were reported from the town of Balpur in Uttarakhand. Specialists propelled a crackdown and suspended police and authorities.
In Saharanpur region, the loss of life moved from 16 to 36, top authoritative authority Alok Pandey told dpa by telephone on Saturday.
