Nigerian music star Simisola Ogunleye, widely known as Simi, has called for disciplinary action against the airport staff who filmed and shared a viral video of passenger Comfort Emmanson. Emmanson was recorded being forcefully removed from an aircraft at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. The footage, which showed her indecently exposed, was posted online without any editing or blurring. Simi, wife of singer Adekunle Gold, took to her social media to question the professionalism and ethics behind such an act. She stressed that while the incident raised concerns over Emmanson’s alleged behaviour, the decision to share her private exposure was equally troubling. “So let’s say the lady is actually mad and did too much. Someone recorded her being dragged off the plane, recorded her being exposed like that, and then posted it without editing or blurring it,” she wrote. The singer insisted that the person responsible for posting the video should be held accountable, adding that exposing someone to millions online—when only a handful witnessed it in person—warrants punishment. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the incident occurred on Sunday, August 10, after Emmanson allegedly refused to switch off her phone before takeoff from Uyo to Lagos. Ibom Air stated that her refusal led to an altercation upon arrival, during which she allegedly assaulted staff before being handed over to the Nigerian Police. A video from the scene captured her physical removal from the plane, during which she was indecently exposed, sparking widespread debate over privacy, professionalism, and public shaming.
