The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Otuaro, has declared that the Niger Delta will rally solely behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections. Speaking on Friday at the closing ceremony of the ‘Stream 1’ Batch 3, three-day Strategic Leadership, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation Training organised by PAP in collaboration with the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, Otuaro said President Tinubu has earned the region’s confidence through his commitment to peace, security, and development. According to him, the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda has fostered stability and socio-economic growth in the Niger Delta, while his administration has shown unprecedented support for the PAP — including an increase in its budget to expand opportunities in education, vocational training, and empowerment for ex-agitators. "As Niger Delta people, we will support only His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, in 2027. Let us not allow anybody to deceive us that come 2027, there is a new and better agenda. That is not true and we are wise enough to know." He warned residents to be wary of “political manipulators” seeking to cause disunity ahead of the polls, urging them to remain united, shun divisive politics, and focus on sustaining the gains of the past two years. Otuaro expressed optimism that Tinubu’s re-election would consolidate current achievements and deliver even greater benefits for the region.
