
Tragedy has struck the world of football, as Liverpool and Portugal forward Diogo Jota has reportedly died in a car crash in Spain at the age of 28.
According to reports, the fatal accident occurred on the A-52 motorway near Palacios de Sanabria in Zamora province.
Born in 1996, Jota was a prominent player for both Liverpool FC and the Portuguese national team, making his sudden death a devastating loss to fans and teammates alike.
Spanish sports daily MARCA reported on Thursday that Jota was pronounced dead at the scene.
