Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe remains optimistic about his team’s chances of staging a Champions League comeback against Arsenal. Mbappe couldn’t make an impact as Los Blancos suffered a crushing 3-0 loss to the Gunners in the first leg of their quarter-final clash at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night. Arsenal took control of the tie with a dominant display, featuring a brace from Declan Rice and a goal by Mikel, leaving Carlo Ancelotti’s side with a mountain to climb in the return leg. Real Madrid will now aim to overturn the deficit when they host Arsenal at the Santiago Bernabeu next Wednesday. Following the defeat, Mbappe urged his teammates to stay confident. “The comeback is possible, of course. We have to believe until the end,” he said, via Fabrizio Romano. Before the decisive second leg, Real Madrid will take on Alaves in a LaLiga encounter on Sunday.
