Nollywood actress and media personality Chinenye Nnebe is speaking out against online bullying, after revealing that her younger sister, Olu Ebube, has been deeply affected by cruel comments circulating on social media.
In a heartfelt message shared with fans, Chinenye opened up about her sister’s emotional struggles due to repeated insults about her appearance.
“My kid sister, Olu Ebube, has been crying lately because she's being insulted online. People keep calling her a dwarf, and that's really making her sad,” she shared.
The actress expressed particular concern over the comments suggesting her sister, who is believed to be around 20 years old, “looks like a 5-year-old.” She stressed that these demeaning statements have caused emotional pain for someone who has done nothing wrong.
“I'm begging you all, stop being mean to her and show her some love. She didn't create herself.”
In an era where social media gives everyone a voice, it also opens doors to unchecked cruelty, especially toward people who look different or don’t fit narrow definitions of “normal.” Olu Ebube, who has appeared in films and is building her own fanbase, has been mocked repeatedly for her height and size, something that, as Chinenye rightly points out, is beyond her control.
Chinenye’s words are more than a sister’s defense, they’re a call for basic human decency. Her message reminds us that behind every screen is a person, with feelings, struggles, and a heart that can be broken by careless words.
“She didn’t create herself.”
A simple but powerful truth.
This is a moment for fans, followers, and the general public to reflect. We live in a time when mental health is fragile, especially for young people navigating public attention. Kindness is free, and it can be life-saving.
Let’s replace judgment with empathy. Let’s use our words to uplift, not to wound.
