The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Prof. Nentawe Yiltwada, as the party’s new National Chairman. Yiltwada succeeds Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned on June 27. His nomination was put forward by the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, and seconded by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Tajudeen Abbas. The NEC meeting is currently underway at the Presidential Villa.
