Former President Goodluck Jonathan has expressed deep appreciation after being honoured with the Founder’s Sunhak Peace Prize during an official ceremony in Seoul, South Korea.
Announcing the recognition on Friday through his X page, Jonathan described the award as a tribute not only to himself but also to Nigerians and Africans devoted to peace and development.
“I’m deeply grateful for the Founder’s Sunhak Peace Prize presented to me today at a ceremony in Seoul, South Korea,” he wrote.
He dedicated the prize to all Nigerians and Africans working tirelessly for peace and progress.
“This honour belongs to every Nigerian who believes in the possibility of peace and to every African working for the progress and advancement of our continent,” he said.
He also extended congratulations to fellow award recipients and acknowledged those who made the recognition possible.
“I congratulate other awardees and thank the co-founder of the Universal Peace Federation, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the Sunhak Peace Prize Foundation, as well as my wife, Dame Patience Jonathan, for her love and support,” Jonathan added.
