Nollywood actress and filmmaker Juliet Ibrahim has achieved a major academic milestone, earning her first degree at the age of 39. The Ghanaian-born star, known for her talent and resilience, took to social media to share her inspiring journey to obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Communications from Berkeley College, USA.
Reflecting on her path, Juliet revealed that financial constraints prevented her from pursuing higher education earlier in life. “As the eldest daughter, I paused higher education post-high school to support my siblings’ success,” she wrote. Starting work at 17 and gaining fame at 19, Juliet chose to focus on building a career that would provide for her family.
Four years ago, a spark was reignited when she was inspired by Busie Matsiko-Andan to chase her educational dreams. Enrolling as an adult online student, Juliet faced the dual demands of motherhood and a full-time creative career. Yet, with determination and support, she overcame the odds.
“@berkeleycollege embraced me... despite challenges as a mother and full-time creative, I’ve earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Communications,” she shared. “To women chasing dreams against all odds: it’s never too late!”
Juliet Ibrahim, who also documents her life story in her memoir A Toast to Life, expressed her gratitude to her supporters and described her graduation as a moment she’ll “cherish forever.”
Her story has since gone viral, touching hearts across the continent and beyond, especially among women who have had to put personal dreams on hold. Fans and fellow celebrities have flooded her page with congratulatory messages, celebrating not just her academic success but her unwavering spirit.
