The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has ordered that all mobile phones must be completely switched off during aircraft take-off and landing. Announcing the directive in a post on X on Tuesday, NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, said the rules guiding the use of phones and other electronic devices on flights within Nigeria have now been streamlined. He explained that the decision was taken after an emergency meeting with key industry stakeholders earlier on Tuesday.
