The naira continued its upward trend against the dollar at the official market on Wednesday.
According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the naira appreciated slightly to N1,539.72 per dollar on Wednesday, up from N1,540.04 recorded on Tuesday — a marginal gain of N0.32.
In contrast, the parallel market saw no movement, with the exchange rate holding steady at N1,607 per dollar, the same as the previous day.
CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso attributed the relative stability of the naira to recent reforms introduced by the apex bank.
