The Commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Hon. Spencer Okpoye, has heartily congratulated the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday anniversary.
In a goodwill message made available to Waffi TV on Thursday, Hon. Okpoye described Governor Oborevwori as a visionary and people-oriented leader who has continued to demonstrate rare commitment and passion in the discharge of his duties since assuming office.
He commended the Governor’s proactive and inclusive approach to governance, which, according to him, has resulted in a significant inflow of investors into the state, stimulating economic growth and creating jobs for the teeming youth population.
Okpoye particularly applauded the Governor’s attention to the development of oil-producing communities, especially those inhabited by the Ijaw people. He emphasised that the administration’s deliberate efforts in addressing long-standing developmental challenges in these areas have not gone unnoticed, as the grassroots are already witnessing improved infrastructure, better access to services, and renewed hope.
He further noted that Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda has started yielding visible results across various sectors, including education, healthcare, road infrastructure, and human capital development, thereby positioning Delta State for sustainable progress.
Concluding his message, Hon. Okpoye prayed for divine guidance, good health, and greater wisdom for Governor Oborevwori as he continues to lead Delta State on the path of peace, prosperity, and equitable development.
