
It was a day of celebration, cultural pride, and renewed unity in Okrenkoko Federated Community as residents turned out in large numbers to witness the official swearing-in of a new executive council.
The ceremony, held on Wednesday, June 19, 2025, marked a historic milestone for the community, as Amb. Chief Mosco Johnny (JP) took the oath of office as Chairman, leading a team of ten other distinguished individuals entrusted with steering the affairs of the community.
The new executive council comprises:

Ikare Christmas James – Assistant Secretary
Goddy London Sapele – Financial Secretary

Mr. Jonathan Yoghaye – Chief Auditor
Jacob Yoghaye – Chief Organizer
Ijeleba Emmanuel – Assistant Organizer
Governor Stanley – Public Relations Officer
Denwei Kpenfe Roman – Assistant Public Relations Officer
Speaking shortly after taking the oath, Amb. Chief Mosco Johnny, who is also the Soweibiwei of Gbaramatu Kingdom, described the moment as one of the most fulfilling in the community’s history. He commended the elders, stakeholders, and members of the community for their support throughout the transition process.
“We may come from different walks of life, but today we are united in purpose. We are here to serve with integrity, to protect our culture, and to chart a new course for progress and unity,” Chief Johnny said. He further called for sustained cooperation from all residents, stressing that “the campaign season is over; now is the time to build.”
