The Vatican announced on Tuesday that the funeral of Pope Francis will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. (0800 GMT) in St. Peter’s Square. Following the service, the coffin of the Argentine pontiff—who passed away on Monday at the age of 88—will be taken into the basilica before being transported to the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome for burial.
