The Rivers State House of Assembly has urged Governor Siminalayi Fubara to promptly submit the names of Commissioner-nominees for screening and confirmation. At its first plenary following the end of the six-month emergency rule, the lawmakers also directed the Governor to commence the preparation of an Appropriation Law to cover the remaining part of the year. These resolutions were adopted during Thursday’s sitting presided over by Speaker Martin Amaewhule.
