From June 1, 2025, transgender women will be barred from participating in women's football, England’s Football Association announced Thursday, citing a policy update prompted by last month’s UK Supreme Court ruling on the Equality Act. The Scottish Football Association also confirmed it would introduce a similar ban beginning with the 2025/26 season.
