
Hon. Spencer Okpoye, the Commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), has extended birthday felicitations to the immediate past Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro.
In a goodwill message made available to Waffi TV on Wednesday, Okpoye praised Otuaro for his selfless service, visionary leadership, and dedication to the peace and development of Delta State during his time in office.
He noted that Otuaro's tenure as Deputy Governor was marked by an inclusive governance approach, impactful policies, and deliberate efforts aimed at youth empowerment, especially within the oil-producing communities. According to Okpoye, many young people in Delta State continue to benefit from the structures and opportunities that Otuaro helped put in place while serving the state.
While celebrating Otuaro’s new age, Okpoye offered prayers for divine grace, strength, and long life, expressing confidence that the former deputy governor will continue to play an important role in the growth and advancement of the Ijaw oil producing communities, state and the Niger Delta region.
