High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo and renowned as a foremost national leader of the Niger Delta, has been presented with the prestigious Living Legend Award during the 4th anniversary celebration of Congress Newspaper/TV, held recently in Warri, Delta State. Tompolo, who serves as Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, emerged winner of the award following a nomination and overwhelming votes secured through an online poll organised by the media outfit. During the ceremony at TM Hotel, Airport Road, Warri, last Thursday, the management of Congress Newspaper described Tompolo as an “uncommon breed and a rare gem,” citing his unwavering dedication and transformative contributions to the Niger Delta. They noted that the Living Legend Award is a fitting recognition of Tompolo’s selfless service, relentless efforts to curb oil theft, and his role in promoting peace and stability across the region. Participants at the event lauded Tompolo’s leadership and commitment to national development, emphasising that his ability to unite diverse communities has had a significant impact on Nigeria’s economic growth.
