Reality TV star and fashion enthusiast, Uriel Oputa, has addressed her absence from the winners’ list at the recently concluded 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
The star-studded ceremony, which took place last night, was graced by an array of celebrities, including notable Big Brother Naija alumni, entertainment heavyweights, and high-profile dignitaries. Among the highlights of the evening was the fiercely contested Best Dressed category.
BBNaija stars Liquorose Afije and Prince Nelson emerged victorious as Best Dressed Female and Male respectively, each walking away with ₦1 million in cash prizes.
Reacting to the outcome, Uriel took to her Instagram to share why she believes she didn’t clinch the Best Dressed Female title. According to her, it wasn’t about the outfit—but the timing.
“This is not to knock anyone’s design. Everyone looked stunning,” she wrote. “But let’s be honest, the only reason I didn’t win best dressed is because I wasn’t there on time. Nobody can tell me my dress didn’t eat.”
Despite not taking home the award, Uriel’s post has sparked conversations online, with many fans praising her fashion sense and agreeing that her outfit was indeed a showstopper.
