WaffiTV:Dr Maikanti Baru, the Group Managing Director, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), says the Federal Government’s “OB3” gas pipelines project will be finished in the second quarter of 2019.
Baru gave the affirmation on Thursday at the official inauguration of the Egbaoma Gas Plant in Ebedei Community, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Egbaoma Gas Plant is a backup of the PNG Gas Limited.
The “OB3″ project is required to help domestic gas supply and furthermore address, among others, the steady gas flaring in the nation. “The two billion standard cubic feet (2bscfd) capacity OB3 gas project is expected to be completed by second quarters of 2019,” he said.

Baru said that NNPC was focused on the Federal Government’s desire as communicated in the gas, ecological and domestic gas utilization policies.
He additionally said that the corporation was tightening forceful development in the domestic gas supply limit from the current 1.7bscfd to 5bscfd in the medium term.
