Five people were killed, while others continued injuries, when supporters of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a previous Governor, and Abdulmumuni Jibrin Kofa, a previous Chairman of House Committee on Appropriation, occupied with a free-for-all in Kano.
Supporters of the two noteworthy ideological groups conflicted in Kano, on Thursday.
It was assembled that the fight began when Kwankwaso and his escort disrupted a supplication session held by Kofa and his supporters.
Aside the five killed, many supported injuries, while vehicles and houses were set on fire.
The two gatherings have kept on exchanging fault over the conflict.
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Governor of Kano State, accused the assault for supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Talking through Muhammad Garba, his Commissioner for Information, Youth and Culture, Ganduje stated: “Kwankwasiyya PDP hooligans, under the careful gazes of their pioneer Rabiu Kwankwaso, assaulted the APC supporters. The Kwankwasiyya hoodlums are in an evident endeavor to put a stop up in the wheel of advancement toward guaranteeing a free and tranquil race in the state.”
In the mean time, Kabir Abba Yusuf, representative for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, asserted that Kwankwaso supporters were assaulted by supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while experiencing Kofa town.
He included that the PDP supporters continued genuine injuries and their campaign cars were set burning.
