The chairman of Burutu local government, Hon. Godknows Angele, today meets with all community leaders from Burutu North.
The chairman told the leaders, all the precautions and steps required to stay safe in this season of isolations and shutdowns.
Hon. Angele speaking, he talked about necessities for the COVID-19 isolation and reminded everyone about the federal government state of emergency around the country, as he encourages everyone to abide by the federal government order.
Still in the meeting, the chairman spoke to all the community chairmen in Burutu North, to pass this information across to everyone in their various villages to tell them about the ongoing situation of the country.
He further stated, “no one has the right to do a party of any kind as stated by the federal and state government, or do anything to gather crowd. This is for our safety, so we should comply.”
The Chairman made them understand that henceforth there should be no burial ceremony, wedding ceremony and any other forms of event, till this period of isolation and stay at home is over.
Hon. Angele continued as he stated some steps from the World Health Organization (WHO) to all individuals.
“Continue to wash your hands in every 10 minuets’ to avoid the virus. Avoid robbing your hands around your eyes, nose and mouth all the time. If anyone is found with the coronavirus symptoms quickly call the state hotlines or report the nearby hospital.
The chairman, disclosed the dangers involve if anyone is found violating the law. “If you’re caught in the act of disregarding the government instructions, such person should be arrested by the police authority alongside the community chairman.
Hon. Angele in conclusion, he urges the people of Burutu to kindly adhere strictly to this instructions. “This isolation period is not made to punish anyone, but for the safety of all Nigerians and to put an end to the COVID-19 pandemic. I know the God we serve shall rescue us from this Pandemic.”
