World Bank Delta Cares Livelihood Support Unit Continues her Sensitisation and advocacy tour to Akwuku – Igob in Oshimili north LGA, met with Executive Chairman, Hon Esewezie Innocent, His Royal majesty, Obi David Chukwuka, the Obi of Akwuku – Igbo and Omu of Akuku – Igbo Kingdom.
World Bank Delta Cares Livelihood Support Unit committee Chairman on advocacy and Orientation, Mr. Clive Amuta and his team 22/9/2021, were in Oshimili north Council Secretariat the Headquarters of the LGA, the Executive Chairman alongside Community Youths leaders that make up the local government were Sensitised on the need to key into live changing programme of World Bank Delta Cares Livelihood Support Unit in partnership with Delta State Government with the State Technical Head, Elder Dr Isioma Okonta, with the aim of alleviating the effects of the Covid19 pandemic in the Society, mostly the poor and the vulnerable Youths, men, women, the disable and Widows.
The team also visited the palace of Obi Akwuku – Igbo Kingdom, his Royal majesty Obi David Azuka and his cabinets and sensitisation was also carried out in the palace in line with World Bank Delta Cares Livelihood Support Unit Programme and policies.
