On Monday, Inter Miami confirmed two upcoming friendly matches in Saudi Arabia next year, featuring a highly anticipated clash between Lionel Messi and long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Major League Soccer club had previously announced their intention to play against Ronaldo’s Al Nassr in Riyadh but hadn’t finalized a date. In the latest update, Inter disclosed that they would confront Saudi powerhouse Al Hilal at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on January 29.
Subsequently, they will face Al Nassr at the same venue on February 1, offering Messi another chance to engage in the enduring rivalry that began in 2008.
After the Saudi Arabia fixtures, Miami will journey to Hong Kong for a match against a team assembled from the territory’s First Division on February 4 before returning to the US for the commencement of the MLS season in February.
